Start with the existing pool
Think about what you would like to improve: the interior finish, heating, lighting, covers or the practical operation of the equipment. Note any recurring problems and explain how the pool is currently used.
An assessment helps establish which work is appropriate and what needs further investigation. The condition of the pool and associated equipment matters when agreeing the proposed refurbishment; appearance alone does not determine the scope.
Water loss needs investigation
A falling water level is a symptom to discuss, rather than proof of a particular leak. Tell SPM when you first noticed it, whether it changes during operation and whether there are other visible concerns. The installation and circumstances determine the appropriate next step.
Leak investigation, equipment servicing and refurbishment are related but distinct pieces of work. Discussing the findings before proceeding helps clarify what is being repaired, what is being renewed and what may need a separate quotation. No inspection can be assumed to provide an immediate diagnosis.
Finishes and equipment improvements
Depending on the pool, proposed work may include liners, tiling or other interior finishes, together with pumps, filtration, heating, lighting or covers. The options need to suit the existing installation and the work SPM agrees to undertake.
Equipment upgrades should be considered alongside the pool’s condition and intended use. Avoid choosing a system solely on a general promise about running costs or performance: discuss the equipment requirements and the available options for your particular pool.
Agree the work before it begins
A useful starting enquiry includes the pool’s location, whether it is indoors or outdoors, its approximate size if known and the changes you are considering. SPM can then discuss an assessment and proposed work.
Refurbishment costs and timescales depend on the agreed scope, access, finishes, equipment and any further investigation required. SPM is based in Crawley and serves Surrey, Sussex and Kent, with selected projects in London. The quotation should confirm the work and arrangements before it proceeds.
